Things You Must Note Before You Buy Any of the Best Alarm Clocks for the Hearing Impaired

Because information provided by manufacturers is inconsistent, comparing products at first glance can be misleading. It is sometimes like comparing “apples” to “oranges”, creating a poor experience in the selection process.

Two things can create confusion for you. These are product dimensions and measurement metrics

Product Dimensions

Sometimes this is used interchangeably with PARCEL DIMENSION by some manufacturers. The product dimensions are the actual size of the product, while the parcel dimensions are the size of the shipped package.

The parcel dimensions are ALWAYS bigger than the actual product size!

Measurement Metrics

Some manufacturers will use inches, centimeters, kilograms, grams, pounds for product or parcel dimensions. This means that in many cases you will need a conversion calculator in order to compare. You probably do not have time for that!

The good news is that we have taken all these inconsistencies into consideration in all our comparisons – so you can truly rest assured that you are comparing “apples to apples”

    1. Hi Ceci, My husband is partially deaf or should I say, he can hear when he wants to, hahaha.
He damaged his hearing while working with heavy metals without protection.

He prefers the alarm with the sound, and not with a mono-tone sound, it has to have a tune.
There are certain frequencies he cannot hear and others as clear as day. Therefore an alarm with the right frequencies will be good for him.

On the other hand, I would prefer the vibration-only model. I don’t need sound to wake me up, vibration-only will be perfect.

Thank you for a very informative article. It brought clarity and we decided to gracefully agree to disagree.
Your description of both made it easy to choose.
      Kind regards

    2. Thank you for this, helpful blog post. I mean people who can’t hear, have it especially hard during the waking-up process, so if there is a solution for them, let’s support it, right? I see that the bed shaking works as an alternative to a sound alarm, I am just wondering if this is sufficient. Is this the only option or do these products offer other solutions? I know, it must be hard to create a product that is going to help deaf people in this sense, just wondering…Thanks in advance. I am really grateful for your helping content

    3. Hi Ceci,

great informative and helpful review about the best alarm clocks for the hearing impaired and heavy sleepers. All of these seem to do an excellent job but for some reason, the Vibio Bluetooth wireless bed shaker caught my attention more that the others. Maybe because it is convenient to use with a smartphone?! It seems super easy to use and like the fact that it can alert you with led lights when you get incoming calls. That’s a cool feature!

      • Hi Anne-Caroline,
Yes, these are all really nice functional phones for the hearing impaired. It is totally understandable why you love the Vibio Bluetooth wireless bed shaker. The convenience of use with your smartphone and other features such as the red alerting light make this phone one that is generally more favored by seniors than the elderly because of the technology.

        Regards, Ceci
